Cette conférence, organisée par WWF-Indonesia et le CIRAD, aura pour thème « La conservation de la forêt et la croissance durable de la production d’huile de palme ».
L’huile du palmier Elaeis guineensis fournit plus de 30 % du total des huiles végétales produites dans le monde. Tirée par l’augmentation du niveau de vie et la croissance démographique des pays émergents, la forte progression de la consommation entraînera pour la  filière un doublement de sa production d’ici 2050. Les différents acteurs répondent désormais à ce défi en prenant en compte les problèmes environnementaux et sociaux. Les producteurs doivent avoir des objectifs de durabilité certifiée, qui entraînent une évolution des pratiques agricoles et une révision de l’organisation spatiale des territoires.

  • The collection

    Following a readers' panel study on the readership of Pressedoc (the AFD's former weekly press review), the Research and Knowledge department decided to create a new monthly publication, Kaléidoscope. It has been designed to cast helpful light on the scientific and technical content of the main international publications dealing with aspects of economic development and the fight against poverty. The editorial highlights the month's key events, with further sections on Water, Earth, People, Organisations, Geographical regions, Law and Regulation. Under each theme, a brief summary of contents is given for books, web reports and articles of the relevant period. Below, you will find the contents of our latest issue
