Drinking water in Port-au-Prince neighbourhoods

AFD is financing a project to provide the poorest in Port-au-Prince with access to drinking water. The standpipes are managed by the population and go way beyond their original purpose by bringing local democracy. The documentary "Dlo Dlo Dlo" takes us into the day-to-day business of water in Port-au-Prince's slums. By analyzing the impact of the program to supply water to the city's slums, the film shows us how one small drop of water can really make a big difference.

Prey Nup - Building against the tides

In 1997 AFD began rehabilitating the Prey Nup polders along with Gret and Handicap international. The project is based on the creation of a farmers' association to manage the infrastructure. In a country marked by collectivism and the Khmer Rouge genocide this social construction is truly original.

Water Money
