An increasing number of companies are innovating and building new partnerships in poor countries. They are thus making an important contribution to achieving the Millennium Development Goals. Social Responsibility is a core issue in both this process and the development of the companies themselves.
Northern and Southern companies are mobilizing to achieve more equitable and sustainable development within an environment of new partnerships. They are contributing to socio-economic development, transforming business models, supporting social entrepreneurs, developing new financial products and services…
Why this Symposium ?

>> Identify and extend possible partnerships between private actors (multinational companies, local private sector), public actors (European and international institutions, donors, national/local authorities) and NGOs/ associations in order to scale up the movement.
