Compliance with environmental and social standards
- comply with, and ensure that all their sub-contractors comply with, in line with the applicable laws and regulations in the country where the project is implemented, the environmental and social standards recognised by the international community among which the Fundamental Conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the international conventions on the protection of the environment;
- implement measures to mitigate environmental and social risks as defined in the environmental and social management plan or, where applicable, in the environmental and social impact notice provided by the Owner.
