14:00-15:30 Roundtable with Yann Arthus-Bertrand  and Jacques Moineville (AFD), presentation of the "Good Planet" festival at the France-Rio+20 Pavilion, at the Odeon-centro cinema.
 
17:00 Opening of the Goodplanet Festival and evening devoted to urban development.
Screening of "Encontros O'Globo”, followed by a debate in the presence of Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Shalini Vajjhala (US EPA-Environmental Protection Agency), the Mayor of Rio and Jacques Moineville (AFD), at the Odeon-Centro cinema.

Organized by UCLG and UN Habitat.
With Jacques Moineville, AFD Executive Director, on basic services (11:00-11:40). At the Forte de Copacabana.
 
13:00-17:30 Natural Capital Accounting, World Bank WAVES program, cofinanced by AFD and Conservation International.
This event will compare the experiences of countries which have begun to implement environmental accounting. With Valery Morard from the French Ministry of Environment. With Jacques Moineville, AFD Executive Director (to be confirmed). At the Jardim botanico.

20:00 Good Planet Festival: thematic evening on Climate Change:
Presentation of the film “Himalaya Meltdown” and debate on climate change issues in the presence of François-Xavier Duporge, Secretary General of the French Global Environment Facility (French GEF) and representatives from GEF and UNDP. 
 
Thursday 21 June
 
ICLEI Day(International Association of Local Governments for Sustainability): "Global Town Hall" (schedule and venue to be confirmed).

14:00-16:00   What sustainable development for small island territories? (Mauritius and Réunion) . Organized by AFD. With Jacques Moineville, AFD Executive Director. At the France-Rio+20 Pavilion.

15:00-16:30  Innovative approaches to sustainable territorial development
Co-organized by ADEME, PFVT and AFD
With Rémi Genevey, AFD Strategy Director. At the Rio Centro.

Exchanges on the practices for sustainable territorial development implemented in several countries (France, Brazil, Colombia, South Africa). This development is not confined to dense and formal cities, although local authorities are major players. The integrated innovative approach applies at the level of a functional territory (city, metropolitan area, functional region) and takes account of informal neighborhoods.
