Agence Française de Développement (hereinafter “AFD”) welcomes you to AFD’s institutional website (hereinafter the “Website”), the Website that presents AFD Group’s missions and operating methods.

By accessing the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and accept in full the present general conditions of use (GCU).
 
The GCU govern your use of the Website and of the services offered by AFD on the Website.

The working language of the Website is French. For your convenience, AFD has made English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic versions available in certain parts of the Website.
 
The Website makes information on AFD operations provided by AFD available to you. This information is provided in all relevant forms, notably through texts, data, images, photographs, etc. (hereinafter the “Content”).  
The Website also offers you several services (newsletter, latest news, publications, useful links and content related to the organization of AFD), as well as links to other websites or resources published by third parties (hereinafter “Related Websites”). AFD draws your attention to the Related Websites, which are given for your information only and are in no way recommended or supported by AFD. Moreover, such Related Websites are governed by their own general conditions of use; it is your responsibility to read them when you access the Related Websites.
 
2. Disclaimer and exclusion of guarantees 

You are solely responsible for the use you make of the Website. Consequently, AFD shall in no way be held responsible for any damage whatsoever resulting from the use of the Website, of the services that are offered on it, or of Related Websites.

All the information and services are provided “as is” on the Website for your convenience. AFD cannot therefore guarantee that the use of the Website will meet your requirements. AFD particularly disclaims all warranties with regard to quality, appropriateness, topicality, the completeness of translations, Content and services on offer contained in the Website or in the Related Websites. AFD also disclaims all warranties with regard to performance, quality or security related to browsing on the Website or on the Related Websites or to the use of services offered on the Website or on the Related Websites.  
 
III- USER BEHAVIOR

AFD holds the full copyright for the Website and for the Services provided. Consequently, you are not permitted to sell, adapt, modify, reproduce, disseminate, transfer or use in any other manner all or part of the Website or of the Services provided, in any form or by any means, on any current or future support. 
Any user that does not comply with the laws and regulations in force shall risk being taken to court by AFD.
 
2. Reporting abuse
 
AFD is not subject to any general obligation to oversee or search for illegal content. However, AFD makes every effort to preserve the quality of the Content of the Website.  
 
Should you observe or consider that part of the Content on the Website presents a manifestly illicit character, please report it to the following address: site@afd.fr .
 
This notification must include the following points: your surname, first name and address, a copy of the Content that you consider to be contentious, as well as the URL address of the page in question and the author of the contentious Content, along with the reasons for which you consider the Content must be withdrawn. Any abusive notification may render you liable to civil or criminal sanctions.
 
3. Right of reply
 
Should you consider that part of the Content harms your image, you have the right of reply (maximum 200 lines) by writing to the following address: site@afd.fr .
 
Your request must include: your surname, first name and address, a copy of the Content that you consider to be contentious as well as the URL address of the page/passages in question and the author of the contentious Content, as well as the passages of the message in question that you consider should be withdrawn or deleted. Your right of reply will be published within three working days from the date of receipt of your message. Any abusive notification may render you liable to civil or criminal sanctions.
 
 
IV – PERSONAL INFORMATION
 
Personal data is collected to ensure that the Website runs smoothly and in order to comply with the requirements of the French Law of 21 June 2004 to support confidence in the digital economy. You undertake to provide true, accurate and complete information and to update it if required. Should you wish to receive the newsletter or register for certain events organized by AFD and/or its partners, the information marked with an asterisk is required. AFD undertakes to ensure that the gathering and processing of personal information is carried out in accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978. 

Benjamin Neumann, Head of Communication at AFD’s External Relations and Partnerships Department, is responsible for data processing.

The cookies on the Website are used to ensure that it runs smoothly and will not be used to collect personal data on you.
