Monde.org, the French language development resource center
AFD is pleased to present the pilot version of the internet portal "la Maison du développement", an online resource center designed to mobilize information about development in French and integrate the interactive and collaborative tools of Web 2.0.
This portal will collect, organize and publish information on development in French thanks to the various tools and functionalities it will make available to webusers.
We will be asking a number of organizations to contribute to this portal. If your institution would like to contribute, please contact us: contact@monde.org.
La Maison du développement is intended for development actors such as experts, NGOs, teachers, students, development aid recipients, companies, etc., and also members of the general public who are interested in North – South issues.
The portal is designed to be pedagogical and pleasant to use. Thanks to its Web 2.0 technologies webusers will be able to:
mutualize and capitalize on experience,
build capacities,
stimulate debate.
Communities will be working together on projects or sharing common convictions. They will be able to:
communicate on and promote their projects,
contact other actors and exchange views with them,
build partnerships and synergies.
This is an experimental version of the portal, some sections are therefore under construction. New functionalities will gradually be added.
This portal is an initiative of Agence Française de Développement (AFD). It is currently in a pilot phase and is intended to belong to the entire development community via partnerships and an editorial committee.
