COP21: a unique opportunity to change our development models and lifestyles

To date, COP21 is the only global summit that gathers every country in the world. In addition to the negotiations, which aim to come up with a global binding agreement to limit global warming to 2°C, COP21 provides a unique opportunity to further reflection on our development models and lifestyles.

From November 30th to December 11th, 2015, France is chairing the COP21 and hosting the international community in Paris-Le Bourget. AFD will be organizing or participating in approximately 40 side events hosted in 3 different locations:

Paris - Le Bourget, where the international conference is being held: in the Climate Generations Areas, which are open to all, as well as in the “Blue Zone”, where the negotiations will take place and can only be accessed by people with accreditations.

Grand Palais: Solutions COP 21: A village of Solutions open to the public.

Parc de la Villette: Born Somewhere else exhibition. A unique experience which will take the visitor on a tour where he will step into the shoes of one of the 21 characters and learn about the daily lives of Manolo from Colombia, Bilikiss from Nigeria, Mehiata from French Polynesia and Amin, the little boy from Morocco, among others.
