The conference will be opened by Gaël Giraud, chief economist at AFD. The confirmed keynote speakers are Jean-Michel Severino (Investisseurs et Partenaires), Ravi Kanbur (Cornell University), Amy Dahan (CNRS-EHESS), Eduardo S. Brondizio (Indiana University), Chimère Diaw (African Model Forest Network) and Christophe Sand (New Caledonia and Pacific Institute for Archeology).

The aim of this conference is to bring together practitioners and researchers and their work and to stimulate dialogue at the intersection between commons and development dynamics through recourse to a variety of analytical frameworks and disciplines.
