Macroeconomic Analysis and Country Risk Unit

 

The mission

The analyses performed by this unit seek to identify the growth paths of the countries studied, while at the same time detecting areas of vulnerability associated with these paths. These studies therefore address topics such as the growth potential of the economies considered, the soundness of their financial systems, the situation of their public finances and the terms and conditions of their external financing. The unit also monitors international economic and financial conditions in order to detect shocks that may have an impact on countries where AFD operates.

Most of the unit’s output is for internal use (by the regional operational departments, AFD agencies abroad and the General Secretariat), although some work is published in the AFD Working Papers series.
