Dominique ROJAT

Career

  • Dominique Rojat, doctor of veterinary medicine, fisheries expert and economist, current serves as an economist and project leader in AFD’s Infrastructure and Environment Unit. He worked previously for the Ministry of Cooperation and for the International Cooperation Centre of Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD), serving also as advisor to Senegal’s Ministry for Maritime Affairs and a cooperation advisor for the French cooperation agency in Madagascar and Cameroon. His research interests include developing the economic value of environmental goods and services and management of renewable resources. He teaches at the French development research centre CERDI, at Senghor University in Alexandria, at the French school for rural engineering and forestry ENGREF and at CIRAD, and has published a number of articles on animal health economics, herding activities, fishery economics, water management and conservation agriculture.
