    The AFD's commitments, the related financial terms and the Agency's accounts are submitted to its Board of Directors for approval. The Board of Directors  deliberates at least six times a year and delegates part of its powers to specialised committees set up within the organisation, such as the Overseas Committee and the Foreign Countries Committee. The Chief Executive Officer is delegated to handle funding for small amounts.
