AFD and Turkish Development Bank enter into Memorandum of Understanding

On November 8, 2019 Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen the effectiveness and sustainability of their cooperation under joint projects and programs, as well as within the larger framework of the International Development Finance Club.  The IDFC is chaired by AFD and as of October 20th, 2019, TSKB is a new member and co-chair of its Steering Group.

This reinforced cooperation will allow the two institutions to optimize the impact of their financing in fields of sustainable, socio-economic and private sector development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, the protection of biodiversity, the promotion of gender equality and women’s access to quality employment, as well as Corporate Social Responsibility. This collaboration will follow the strategic priorities of the IDFC, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement Agendas.
