
Rawane YASSER
Overview
Rawane Yasser, a junior economist at AFD, works on inequality, poverty, international migration and employment issues.
Rawane Yasser holds a Master's degree from the Institute for the Study of Economic and Social Development (IEDES) at University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She specialised in development economics, with a focus on the economic appraisal of development policies and projects.
She first joined the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Evaluation of Public Policis (LIEPP) at Sciences Po Paris, where she worked on gender inequalities in the labour market within the Women in Business Chair. She then coordinated and set up impact evaluations at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), evaluating the impact of agricultural development projects in Tanzania, Djibouti, Ghana and Kenya.
Rawane Yasser joined AFD's Research Department in November 2021, working on a research programme on inequalities. She currently focuses on inequality, poverty, international migration and decent employment in African countries.
