Overview

Mathilde Bord-Laurans has over 15 years’ experience in development finance in the energy, infrastructure and climate sectors.

Mathilde graduated as an engineer from both the École Centrale Paris and the École Nationale du Génie Rural, des Eaux et des Forêts (ENGREF). She joined AFD in 2005, where she managed projects on the energy transition and biodiversity conservation, in particular in Africa. In 2015, she joined AFD’s private sector subsidiary, Proparco, and subsequently managed AFD’s energy transition activity.

She today heads the Climate and Nature team, which gathers 20 specialists providing cross-functional expertise in the fields of climate and biodiversity, which are central to AFD’s mandate.
