Virginie Délisée-Pizzo

After studying law, macroeconomics and communications, Virginie Delisée-Pizzo held a number of operational and support positions at AFD, which she joined in 1994. Head of AFD's Education - Vocational Training - Employment division since 2021, she previously held positions as pedagogical project manager and then head of the Training division at AFD Group's Development Campus (formerly CEFEB) in Marseille.  

Prior to this, she was Director of the Reunion agency until 2018, and worked for twelve years in several of AFD's overseas local authorities (DCOM), in particular in the financing of local authorities, the private sector and the local banking sector.
She was Country Manager for Cameroon, Chad and CAR, followed by Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda from 1999 to 2004, preceded by five years as Institutional Communications Officer (media and parliamentary relations) for the AFD Group.
