Overview

Oskar Lecuyer is an environmental and climate change economist who directs research programs on low-carbon transitions and environmental sustainability.

His work aims to better understand policies that countries can adopt to meet development goals while fighting climate change. To this end, he is involved in public policy dialogues between AFD operatives and partner countries, such as Colombia and Mexico

He conducts research on green tax reforms in developing countries, in collaboration with the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

Oskar Lecuyer also contributes to national and international discussions on development trajectories compatible with the Paris Agreement, in connection with the Deep Decarbonization Pathways initiative by IDDRI. In addition, he is coordinating a project for an environmental sustainability indicator, in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
