Pakistan: making sustainable, accessible public transport a reality in Peshawar
city.
Today, the Peshawar BRT, operated by TransPeshawar, and co-financed by AFD and Asian Development Bank, provides 500,000 people in the city with access to a sustainable and accessible public transport system. Not only has it improved the quality of life for the city's residents, particularly women and people with disabilities, but it has also led to a reduction in carbon emissions.
