This document presents a summary of the evaluation of AFD‘s agriculture projects in Afghanistan from 2005 to 2014. The evaluation mission took place between December 2013 and July 2014, and covered all projects funded by the Agency in the sector. This summary first explains the rationale and objectives of the mission, as well as the approach taken for the evaluation; second, it provides elements of context for AFD projects and this evaluation. Third, it gives summary findings for the evaluation at the portfolio and the strategy levels; finally, it proposes essential recommendations for the future intervention of AFD in the agriculture sector in Afghanistan.
