Audrey ROJKOFF appointed Director for Climate and Nature at the Agence Française de Développement (AFD)

Audrey Rojkoff is AFD's new Climate and Nature Director. At 48, she contributes to the Group's climate and biodiversity strategic priorities thanks to her 23 years of international experience, including 15 years spent in various African countries.

She was previously Country Director for South Africa and Regional Director for Southern Africa, based in Johannesburg. In this capacity, she supported the implementation of structuring projects in favor of fair energy transition, sustainable development and the strengthening of cooperation in the region's ten countries.

Previously, at AFD headquarters in Paris, she was Deputy Executive Director in charge of Strategy, Partnerships and Communications, and the first Secretary General of the Finance in Common (FiCS) initiative. In this capacity, she contributed to the creation of the global coalition of public development banks, the drafting and negotiation of their joint declaration, and the organization of the first FiCS summit in Paris in November 2020. As a specialist in climate finance, she also managed AFD's international climate finance team. 

Before joining the Agency, Audrey Rojkoff worked at the African Development Bank as energy project manager and coordinator of operations with the Green Climate Fund. She also worked at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economics and Finance and an international NGO during the Tunisian revolution.

She holds a degree in international finance from the Université Panthéon-Sorbonne and in development economics from the Université Paris Nanterre. 

She took up her post in September 2025, succeeding Mathilde Bord-Laurans, who was appointed Deputy Executive Director of the World Bank's Loss and Damage Fund.
