Our impact
Measuring our impact effectively
By co-constructing every project it finances, Agence Française de Développement (AFD) promotes shared prosperity, a safer world, and the preservation of global public goods, in line with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Guided by its core values of commitment, responsibility, and rigor, AFD strives to measure as accurately as possible the impacts of its actions and investments.
Enhanced transparency
AFD is committed, in 2025, to reporting on the real-world (“ex post”) results and impacts of projects that have been completed in the field. With a Results and Impact Framework (CRI) that brings together Group entities around 22 impact issues and monitored indicators, AFD is affirming an unprecedented level of transparency and clarity for a development bank – with the Impacts Portal set to launch in 2025. This is AFD’s unique “impact signature”: it sits at the intersection of the political framework established by the 10 objectives of the Presidential Council for International Partnerships (CPPI) and AFD’s presence on financial markets, which supports the sustainable refinancing of its lending operations.
