Whether for project preparation or to finance specific themes (such as conflict prevention or climate adaptation), Agence Française de Développement (AFD) manages or leverages funds and facilities that may be supplemented by other donors.

Project preparation funds
Project preparation funds finance feasibility studies and technical assistance to prepare future investment projects, primarily with climate co-benefits. They target specific sectors or regions. These tools are generally managed by AFD but are funded by other donors, mainly the European Union.

The private sector study and aid fund FASEP finances feasibility studies or pilot projects for green and innovative technologies led by public authorities in developing countries.
