Grants: a stand-alone tool or as a complement to loans

AFD provides grants to fund initiatives in the health and education sectors, as well as for rural and urban development and infrastructure projects.
This type of support is available as grants to NGOs or delegated funds from other funders. Grants are allocated to a limited number of countries following a decision by the Interministerial Committee for International Cooperation and Development (CICID).
