Christophe Lecourtier appointed Chief Executive Officer of AFD Group, effective 11 May 2026

“I warmly congratulate Christophe Lecourtier on his appointment today as Chief Executive Officer of the AFD Group, succeeding me as of 11 May. It has been a great honor to lead AFD over the past 10 years.
His appointment, by decree of the President of the Republic in the Council of Ministers on 15 April, follows favorable votes by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly and the Senate’s Foreign Affairs, Defense and Armed Forces Committee.
On behalf of all colleagues at the AFD Group, I wish him every success and am confident that he will lead our institution through this period of challenges.”
