Tristan-Aurel Mouline holds a Master of Science in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford, a master’s degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po, and a Master of Science in the Political Economy of Europe from the London School of Economics.

He began his career in institutional relations within two French corporate groups, working in Brussels and then in Paris. He later joined the press office at the French Embassy in the United States. While in Washington, he also worked at the World Bank on business environment issues and served as a fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy.

Tristan-Aurel Mouline joined AFD Group shortly thereafter, initially within the Three Oceans Department, and later in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, which he has led since 2022. Alongside his professional responsibilities, he has taught at Université Paris Nanterre, Parsons School of Design, and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Since October 2025, he has served as Associate Chief Executive Officer of Agence Française de Développement.
