AFD in Papua New Guinea

In July 2023, France annonuced significant development funding, and the opening of an AFD office in PNG. The first AFD officer posted in PNG arrived in June 2024. Expertise France, AFD’s technical subsidiary, opened a project office in 2023. AFD is working closely with other donors and particularly as part of Team Europe.
AFD's activities in Papua New Guinea are overseen by the Pacific Ocean Regional Office.
