Identifying farming systems that contribute to food security, the fight against poverty and biodiversity: challenges and possible solutions

Faced with the growing challenges of food insecurity, rural poverty and the erosion of biodiversity, identifying sustainable agricultural models is becoming a priority. How can we reconcile agricultural productivity, the preservation of ecosystems and improved living conditions for local populations?  

As part of the ECOPRONAT research program, the FARSYMABI project is exploring the agricultural systems that can meet these challenges in Mozambique. Based on field studies and socio-economic and ecological analyses, it proposes ways in which these systems can be effectively integrated into public policy.
