A Research Officer at AFD, Orsola studies trade and industrial policies and their effects on productive structures, value chains, and the international distribution of jobs.
A graduate of the Collegio Ghislieri, Orsola holds a PhD in economics from the University of Pavia, Italy, obtained in 2013. Before joining AFD, she worked as an economist at UNCTAD from 2020 to 2025 and as a Senior Economist at the Institute for New Economic Thinking from 2015 to 2020. She is also a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Economic Justice and an associate editor of the International Journal of Political Economy
