Tanguy Denieul

Tanguy Denieul holds a postgraduate degree (DEA) in public policy microeconomics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
He began his career with the AFD Group in 1991 in Mayotte as an economist at the IEOM (Central Bank for the French Overseas Territories in the Pacific region), before taking on various roles as an economic and financial analyst at the IEDOM (Delegated Central Bank for the French Overseas Departments and Territories), both at headquarters and in the French Overseas Territories.
He joined AFD’s Risk and Finance departments in 2005, where he oversaw the agency’s financial model and loan pricing system.
From 2016 to 2020, he headed AFD’s office in Burkina Faso, followed by the office in Türkiye from 2021 to 2025.
Tanguy Denieul has served as AFD’s Director of Human Resources since August 2025.
