Overview
Julie Gonnet is Deputy Head at Agence Française de Développement. She leads the teams responsible for implementing AFD’s strategy on these issues, mainstreaming them across operations, and developing strategic partnerships with public institutions, multilateral organizations, and civil society actors. She regularly represents AFD in international forums, contributing to advocacy and policy dialogue on gender equality and inclusion.
With more than 20 years of experience in sustainable development and development finance, she has managed projects and programs across Africa, Latin America, Asia, and Small Island Developing States (SIDS), particularly in the areas of climate change adaptation, human development, and gender equality.
A graduate of HEC Paris, she also holds an MSc in Environmental Management from SOAS University of London.
