Jean-Baptiste Jacouton is a research officer at AFD, where he works on sustainable finance.
Jean-Baptiste Jacouton joined the AFD Group in 2021 in the « Economic Analysis and Public Policy Dialogue Department ».
As part of the research program on international development finance, he explores issues related to the reform of the global financial architecture, the development of local financial systems, and the specific role of public development banks in promoting and financing the Sustainable Development Goals.
Within the Finance in Common System, he coordinates an international research group on public development banks. He is one of the co-authors of the book « Public Development Banks – A Reference Book », published by Pearson in 2025.
Jean-Baptiste holds a master's degree in «Economic Development Analysis » (University Clermont Auvergne/CERDI).
