Combining expertise and financing solutions from Public Development Banks and insurers to respond to climate risk
Published on
Developing countries are 15x more vulnerable to climate-related mortality, yet insurance is still underused as a financial resilience tool.
IDRIMA, the Integrated Disaster Risk Management Alliance formed by the Insurance Development Forum and AFD Group (AFD - Agence Française de Développement and Expertise France), have launched this white paper; a call to action for Public Development Banks, DFIs, and governments to integrate climate risk and insurance solutions into their operations—unlocking funding, improving liquidity, and building resilience.
As IDRIMA, we collaborated with Marsh McLennan to produce this paper.
It offers:
- The key benefits of lender-insurer collaboration
- Concrete case studies and lessons learned
- Actionable steps to overcome collaboration barriers
