Paris Dialogue - Acting together for sustainable development
Published on
Established in 2023 by AFD, IEA, ICC, CEB, OECD, OIF, and UNESCO, the Paris Dialogue initiative is the result of a shared observation: international, European, and French institutions must cooperate differently to address the complex and systemic challenges threatening multilateralism and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
While the Sevilla Conference (FfD4) marked a key milestone in rebuilding financing for sustainable development, the Paris Dialogue offers a space for synergies and solutions where the key intellectual, financial, technical, cultural, and diplomatic expertise of Paris-based international institutions come together to address the socioeconomic, environmental, and democratic emergencies of our century.
More than thirty institutions have already joined this initiative. Together, they are designing concrete, replicable projects aligned with the SDGs — in a spirit of shared learning, amplified impact, and transparency.
Paris Dialogue Meeting: Why Finance International Cooperation? Reconnecting Trust, Solidarity, and Impact
Organized as part of the Paris Peace Forum, the annual roundtable of the Paris Dialogue (October 29, 2025, Musée de la Marine) will bring together the initiative’s partners to reaffirm the strategic role of international cooperation and sustainable development financing.
In continuity with the FfD4 Conference in Seville, the meeting will help prepare upcoming international discussions ahead of France’s G7 Presidency in 2026.
The event will highlight a collective call to action to restore trust, strengthen solidarity, and refocus financing on impact, by promoting innovative solutions, transparency, and greater complementarity between public and private finance.
