Social cohesion, the basis for a sustainable and inclusive world - A crosscutting goal for social cohesion 2025–2030
Published on
This document provides a summary of the Cross-Cutting Social Cohesion Roadmap for the 2025–2030 period.
In a world marked by multiple and interconnected crises, social cohesion is a key driver of sustainable, inclusive and resilient human development.
It is a priority of France’s international action in response to widening inequalities. The AFD Group aims to strengthen its strategic ambitions for social cohesion and to support its partner countries through a more ambitious and cross-cutting approach.
The Cross-Cutting Social Cohesion Roadmap is part of the AFD Group’s commitment to delivering impact and quality as a 100% Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-aligned Group, in line with the Group’s Strategic Orientation Plan V. The plan is structured around three major priorities for sustainable and inclusive investment (sustainable infrastructure, the SDG economy and finance, and human development and social progress), three cross-cutting priorities (planet, social cohesion, citizens, institutions and democracy), and four levels of action (operational alignment, stakeholders, country pathways, and international action).
