AFD and the One Health approach

Social, economic and climate changes affect human, animal and ecosystem health. Their increasing interdependence requires an integrated and multi-sectoral approach to address them effectively.

This is the objective of the One Health approach, which has been mobilizing a growing number of actors around the world since the 2000s. AFD supports this approach by financing projects and initiatives in key sectors, such as epidemiological surveillance and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices.
