AFD Group and Europe in the Middle East

For the past twenty years, AFD Group in the Middle East has positioned itself as a capable platform for mobilizing expertise and financing, and has been advocating for partnership reflexes with the European delegations and the EU Member States cooperation services to address the root causes of crises in the region. 

The identified synergies maximize projects impacts and their scalability, allowing for a reinforced sectoral dialog advantage and provide adequate solutions to our local partners’ problems. These solutions aim at reducing inequalities, preventing and addressing crises and fragilities, in view of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

AFD’s participation in joint programming and Team Europe Initiatives contributes to the development of ambitious and innovative result oriented projects in sectors as diverse as water resources management, energy, crisis response, governance and local economic dynamism.
