Transport & Mobility - Activity Report 2023

Following the turbulence associated with the Covid-19 crisis, passenger and freight flows began to recover significantly in 2022 and continued to improve in 2023. Prospects for economic recovery in the transport sector are thus encouraging.

To address the many challenges of the transport sector, AFD Group provides financing to develop low-carbon modes of transport, support the integrated planning of mobility systems, and reduce motorized travel.

In 2023, AFD Group committed 820 million euros for the transport sector. Urban mobility, which accounts for 81% of funding, is a strong marker for AFD Group's activity in the sector. Thanks to the projects financed in 2023, 9,2 million people will benefit from improved access to sustainable transport.
