Professional experience
Bertrand Walckenaer is Deputy CEO of the Agence Française de Développement since February 2019. He was previously chief of staff of the State Secretary to the Minister for Economy and Finance. He worked for ten years for the French Treasury (between 2005 and 2017) where he occupied several positions with responsibilities in the field of corporate restructuring, export finance in the aeronautics sector, and foreign investment control.
He has also been a board member of Bpifrance, La Poste and CNP Assurances in 2016 and 2017. During this period he spent two years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was Deputy Chief of Staff to the Foreign Trade State Secretary for the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
And finally, Bertrand Walckenaer was Technical Director at Pouma Hospital in Cameroun in 2010. He holds a degree in agronomy from AgroParisTech and a degree in international business from Paris-Dauphine University.
