This is the first time that AFD has sent out a call for partnerships to private foundations to co-finance their field projects. This partnership initiative with foundations aims to mobilize their funding for projects on several themes: climate, biodiversity, training, youth, employment, gender, human rights or access to essential services (water, electricity, digital).
This call for partnerships is open from May 30 to July 28, 2023. It is aimed at French or local foundations, operating alone or in partnership to support a project implemented by civil society organizations, operator foundations or companies. social and united. The amount of the projects must be between €200,000 and €500,000 and their duration limited to thirty-six months.
Applicants can apply in any country where AFD operates. Particular attention is given, however, to projects located in the following countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Haiti, Liberia, Madagascar, Mauritania, Niger, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Chad and Togo.
AFD is devoting an envelope of €2.4 million in grants to this call for AAP partnerships. It will be distributed among the foundations selected at the end of the pre-selection phase.
