Fraud Alert

In light of fraud attempts aimed at extorting money in the name of AFD or the AFD Group, in exchange for the promise of funding or employment, we urge everyone to exercise the utmost caution and take note of the principles that govern our financing arrangements and recruitment processes.
Fraudulent individuals may use the name and logo of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), and/or impersonate its executives or staff members, to solicit information, request the signing of documents, or demand payments from individuals or organizations, falsely promising financial support or employment in return.
We wish to alert all individuals, associations, and private companies that AFD is in no way associated with such fraudulent proposals.
Please note:
- AFD never requires upfront payment for any operation.
- AFD does not offer or provide direct funding to individuals.
- AFD never solicits via phone calls, social media, intermediaries, or any French government service.
- The AFD recruitment process is entirely free of charge, and job offers can only be accessed via this official link: Working at AFD.
What to do if you are targeted by a fraud attempt?
AFD strongly advises individuals and professionals to be extremely cautious of such fraudulent approaches, which may be made via social media, email, or telephone. Do not respond to these requests.
If you suspect fraud, please report it to the AFD Group’s Investigations division via the following page: Anti-corruption and fraud prevention.
AFD also reserves the right to take legal action when made aware of such misconduct.
