This conference explores the challenges of developing innovative AI models and technology while taking into account the linguistic specificities of African languages.
It will be an opportunity to discuss the current state of AI in Africa in the context of this linguistic diversity. We will examine the obstacles that need to be overcome, notably the problem of data availability in African languages. We will also look at the resources and infrastructure already available and still needed to develop AI and other innovative technologies in Africa effectively.
In this context, we will present a case study on how to overcome the shortage of data in African languages, offering practical solutions to enable the development of innovative and inclusive technologies including AI.
