Integrating biodiversity into investment decisions is now essential if Public Development Banks (PDBs) are to align their financing with conservation and sustainable development objectives and to support the target 15 of the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. But how can we effectively assess the impact and dependencies toward nature of PDBs financing and improve the reporting of financial institutions?
As part of AFD's ECOPRONAT research programme, a comparative study has been carried out in partnership with the EBRD. It analyses the applicability of six biodiversity metrics to nine development projects, identifying their strengths and limitations, and the data and skills requirements for their implementation.
This webinar invites you to discover :
- The key findings of the study,
- The prospects for integrating these tools into BPD strategies,
- A discussion on solutions for sustainable and responsible financing.
