Health and Social Protection: Our contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals

The Covid-19 crisis has cast into sharp relief the need to increase investment in more resilient health and social protection systems in the face of current and future crises - whether they concern health, food security, economy or the effects of climate change. This goal has been at the heart of AFD's commitments in 2022, in both the health and social protection sectors. AFD focused its funding on projects that aim to strengthen the capacities of these systems with an emphasis on human resources, adaptive social protection and pharmaceutical regulation.
