The Philippines is the fourth most disaster-prone country in the world, a situation that is becoming increasingly urgent in the face of climate change. AFD Group is working with the Government and local authorities to meet their financing needs to usher in structural reforms and manage disaster risks. The aim is to help build people’s resilience to the growing threat posed by climate change, natural disasters and increasingly volatile weather events.
