Digital Africa announces today the nomination of Jean-Pierre Barral for AFD as President. He replaces Kizito Okechukwu, who held the position of acting President since June 2020.
The Board would like to thank Kizito Okechukwu for his commitment to Digital Africa’s mission.
Supporting the development of the African tech ecosystem is at the heart of Kizito Okechukwu’s work. He will continue to do it in the future and expressed the willingness that Digital Africa continues its work towards building a stronger tech startup ecosystem in Africa.
The challenges for a sustainable growth of the digital economy on the African continent are ever greater - compounded by the crisis resulting from the global pandemic.
Digital Africa’s board is committed to face these challenges. They will be discussed during the next general assembly, that will take place on May 7th.
