Côte d'Ivoire: Climate information for agriculture
published in November 2021
In Côte d'Ivoire, agriculture is facing increased weather variability and a declining trend in rainfall, due to climate change. In this context, meteorological and climate information is an essential tool for adapting practices in this key sector for food security and the country's economic development. AFD, through the AdaptAction program, finances a diagnosis of the observation network and user needs, and the development of recommendations for the development of efficient and inclusive climate services. This study feeds the VIGICLIMM project, with a budget of € 28 million, through which AFD supports Sodexam, the national meteorological agency.
