Making green housing more accessible to Turkish households

Making our buildings greener is a crucial challenge to mitigate climate change and adapt to its effects. In Turkey, AFD is collaborating with the public bank VakifBank to encourage households to buy apartments in buildings that have a limited impact on the environment. From water management to energy-efficient materials, those buildings are designed to use less energy and less water, while ensuring a good quality of life. The project also contributed to the evolution of the banking sector, thanks to training sessions on green housing mortgage.
