Corporate Social Responsibility and Activity Report 2025

At the Presidential Council for International Partnerships (CPPI) convened on April 4, 2025, development policy was reaffirmed as a cornerstone of France’s international engagement, alongside diplomacy and defense, and at the heart of the accelerating reconfiguration of global alliances. Development policy is a key instrument for fostering enduring bonds between nations, generating employment and prosperity, and promoting sustainable growth within the limits of our planet’s resources.
Within this renewed and strengthened framework, the Group, equipped with a new strategy for 2025-2030, intends to serve France effectively in the face of economic uncertainty and geopolitical restructuring. Resolutely focused on results and impact, the Group's activities mobilize the private sector and French and European expertise to link the interests of the French people with those of our clients and partners, in the service of alliances and the strengthening of France's international partnerships.
In 2024, the AFD Group's activity continued to grow, with €13.7 billion in financing and more than 1,250 new projects serving a dual mandate: working to promote solidarity with the most vulnerable populations and supporting sustainable transitions, particularly in emerging countries.
The Corporate Social Responsibility and Activity Report (RARES) presents the Group and its three entities (Agence Française de Développement, Expertise France, and Proparco). Structured around the four commitments of the Group's new strategy, it provides a strategic and operational review of the activities, achievements, and highlights that marked 2024 (Part 01). It also details the Group's CSR approach (Part 02). Finally, it provides a breakdown of the operational results (Part 03).
