Rwanda: Building Clean Infrastructure for a Green and Inclusive Future
Published on
In Rwanda, the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) is supporting the country’s accelerating green transition through Ireme Invest — an initiative led by the Rwanda Development Bank (BRD).
Ireme Invest finances green, energy-efficient projects that foster a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy.
At the Independent University of Kigali, new energy-saving cookstoves are cutting energy use, conserving water, and reducing CO₂ emissions. Meanwhile, PREV Rwanda Ltd, a pioneer in electric mobility, is expanding its fleet to promote cleaner transport across the country.
Through this partnership, Rwanda is charting a path toward a greener, more sustainable future.
