Addressing Development Challenges in Emerging Asia: A Strategic Review of the AFD-ADB Partnership

After some seven years of collaboration under the 2003 MoU, AFD and ADB agreed to carry out a strategic review of their partnership. The overall objectives of the review have been threefold: (i) review of the AFD-ADB partnership, both at the institutional and operational levels, and its strategic orientations ; (ii) review of ADB-AFD transversal questions, including implementation priorities, operational alignments, and grant/co-financing; and (iii) review of lessons to be drawn as a guide to future strategic planning over the period 2010-2015.
